It’s a pretty radical step from the Immigration minister; what’s interesting is that “EU nationals, asylum-seekers and skilled workers who earn more than $54,000 per year will not be required to take the 30-minute computerized exam. Also, citizens of the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan and Switzerland are exempt.” Basically, the rich and the white need not sully themselves with silly entrance requirements. Curious.

The exemptions are certainly very interesting, but I can see why they’re doing “the test”. They have had so many immigrants, they’re running out of room for them all and are already very restrictive (I already checked for myself and even my mom being born there doesn’t count for much).
I didn’t say it was a good idea, it’s kind of ridiculous, especially the exemptions.
