Happy Mardi Gras/Carneval/National Pancake Day
I almost forgot: today is Fat Tuesday (literal meaning of Mardi Gras), but as I’m no longer a practicing Catholic, I shan’t be bidding meat farewell (Carne-val) for 40 days.
In yet another stroke of cosmic convergence, or marketing savvy, today is also National Pancake Day. Free short stack at IHOP, ye gluttons!

Rumor has it that pancake day has been extended to 10PM, no confirmation yet. I suggest you give out local IHOP a call to see if we’ll be eating free pancakes for dinner.

National Pancake Day has been around for a while, in fact why don’t I let Aunt Jemima tell you all about it?
In fact, last week was National Pancake Week, and King Arthur Flour here in Norwich, VT was giving away fresh pancakes every day!
